Involve Your Kids in Your Workout
The pools may not be open, but there are still many ways to incorporate fun things your kids will enjoy. Because being active isn’t just for adults! Here are some of our preferred fun (and free!) ways the whole family can stay healthy together:
- Take a nice, long walk
- Take a frisbee outside in the sunshine (hello Vitamin D!)
- Go for a bike ride or roller skate adventure
- Make a floral arrangement with your family’s blossoms
- Play ball in the yard
- Find your sidewalk chalk and create a driveway mural
- Have a dinner cooking match up
- Turn on the tunes and have a dance party
Plan Healthy Meals
Are you doing your best to avoid shopping for groceries? That works! This is the time to make new things in the kitchen and use your favorite canned goods and frozen foods. With the kiddos on break, full workdays, and the usual household chores, keep your breakfasts, lunches, and dinners straightforward this summer.
